SHAZAY BRILLIANT – two steps ahead
We listened to partners, guests, clients and scientists. Some requirements and requests presented major challenges, while even the smallest details repeatedly posed complex questions throughout our two-year development process.
But why are we two steps ahead of others? As a first step, for example, we used a central microcomputer for control – a step no one had taken before.
However, as this did not seem future-proof enough, we developed the concept further: every component – including any component added in the future – is controlled by its own microcontroller and brought together via the display. Instead of one central microcomputer, the system comprises small, autonomous components that function individually or together.

Digital control – future-proofing built in
SHAZAY BRILLIANT is operated using the multitouch display at the head of the treatment lounger.
The intuitive icon-based controls and the option to save settings – such as individual standing and seated positions for team members – offer clear practical benefits.
The correct height setting reduces setup time and encourages team members to alternate effectively between standing and seated positions.
Modular system architecture for long-term investment security
The digital heart of BRILLIANT lies in our microcontroller concept. Its modular expandability ensures that this treatment lounger can still be used with the most advanced treatment methods in ten years’ time.
Every treatment device has its own microcontroller – precisely the hardware and software required exclusively to control that individual device. It connects to the display via cable or BRILLIANT’s Wi-Fi, where the device control menu is then shown.
The steam system, Dhara arch and treatment-bed controls each have their own microcontroller. In future, the same will apply to red-light therapy, salt therapy and everything still to come.

Anatomically zoned heating technology beneath bi-elastic synthetic leather
SHAZAY BRILLIANT features a multi-stage adjustable heating system with physiologically balanced heat distribution aligned with the body’s muscle structure.
Technology is also built into the three-layer vegan synthetic leather. Its integrated antibacterial hygiene function effectively protects the surfaces and helps keep them free from unpleasant odours and unwanted microorganisms.
Integrated steam technology for beauty, HeadSpa and aromatherapy
SHAZAY BRILLIANT features an integrated steam generator. It fills automatically for steam treatments and flushes itself once the treatment is complete, eliminating setup time entirely.
The system controls steam production according to the selected target temperature. The steam passes through the Steam Tower, enabling herbal and aromatherapy treatments. It can therefore be applied to the skin or inhaled.

The Dhara shower arch for SHAZAY HeadSpa treatment lounger
No feature is more iconic of HeadSpa than the Dhara shower arch. Its purpose is to allow water to flow evenly and gently along defined – rather than arbitrary – pathways from the temples and forehead, across the crown and over the back of the head. The knowledge required for this technique is taught in our training courses.
The SHAZAY Dhara shower arch is perfectly designed for precisely this purpose.
Shirodhara oil treatment vs water-based Dhara
Our treatments using the Dhara shower arch are inspired by the Ayurvedic Shirodhara oil treatment. A continuous stream of warmed oil flows onto the client’s forehead and spreads to the sides and back across the head.
Naturally, water – even our Diamond Filtered Water – and oil have very different properties in terms of viscosity and surface tension. Oil, in particular, spreads across a wider surface area.
To replicate this spreading effect, the openings in the arch are arranged in a semicircle. This cannot be achieved with a ‘waterfall’. Two joints on each side of the Dhara arch allow it to be positioned exactly as required.
Water consumption with the SHAZAY Dhara arch
A conventional shower arch can consume an enormous 150 litres of water, depending on the duration of the treatment. For us, that is not an option. We therefore operate the Dhara in circulation mode using 750 to 1,500 ml of Diamond Filtered Water, depending on the length of the hair.
Diamond Filtered Water
A Dhara treatment lasts approximately 20 minutes at around 38°C. The quality of the water is crucial.
Why not use tap water?
In circulation mode, Legionella and other microorganisms can multiply rapidly at these temperatures.
Why not use distilled water?
Because it contains no minerals, prolonged use may, through osmosis, draw minerals, natural moisturising factors (NMF) and lipids from the upper layers of the skin.
Diamond Filtered Water – the basis for Dhara treatments
SHAZAY Diamond Filtered Water is purified using a patented process. Valuable minerals are retained, while bacteria, viruses and spores are completely removed. It therefore combines hygienic safety with a skin-friendly mineral concentration – ideal for longer Dhara treatments.

SHAZAY BRILLIANT is delivered and installed by our team. The required connections are hot and cold water, a wastewater drain and a 230 V power connection at the floor position where the front base – nearest the washbasin – will be located. We will be happy to provide the exact positioning details.
How much space does BRILLIANT require?
SHAZAY BRILLIANT is 245 cm long and 80 cm wide. To move it into the treatment room, the treatment bed can be separated into the mattress, washbasin and base frame. Before delivery, we use a standardised questionnaire to confirm the exact access route.
Which treatments can be performed with BRILLIANT?
SHAZAY BRILLIANT was developed as a multifunctional, future-ready treatment platform. It can accommodate all current and future treatments performed in a lying position. These include massages, beauty treatments and HeadSpa treatments, with future or optional applications such as light therapy, red-light treatments, salt therapy and many more.
